Tuscany is a large area of Italy which is divided into ten provinces. The region has great agricultural importance and produces some of Italy’s finest Wines. Tuscany is a lush, green and gently hilly area. The landscape is flecked with many vineyards and olive groves, and there are some beautiful little villages dotted around the hills. The area also has some beautiful towns which are brimming with Renaissance art and architecture.
The Cities of Florence and Pisa are not to be missed and offer beautiful buildings, colourful history, priceless art – in grand galleries and a unique, sophisticated atmosphere. Florence and Pisa both have airports making Tuscany very accessible and Pisa in particular is a route many budget airlines now offer.
There are many holiday parks in Tuscany. We love Park Albatros. The large and attractive site is well managed by the owners and offers a high standard of facilities. The stunning pool is large and has shallow areas for children while the terraces are perfect for relaxing. The site also has a unique wooden cabin restaurant serving delicious local food.
Valle Gaia is a small and friendly holiday park. There are four swimming pools to enjoy and plenty of space for sunbathing. The secluded setting offers peace and quiet and the beaches at Vada and San Vincenzo are within easy reach. Children are well catered for with a range of clubs and play areas.
