Le Pin Parasol

This park sits right on the banks of the Lac de Jaunay where lake fishing and canoeing are both popular pastimes. There are some excellent kids’ activities and good facilities, including a pizzeria, takeaway, bar and bakery. The park has indoor and outdoor swimming pools and four waterslides suitable for children (and adults) of all ages.

There’s a full size tennis court, two volleyball courts and facilities for badminton, table tennis and basketball. There are three children’s playgrounds and organised activities such as crafts, dancing, team games and treasure hunts. You can also take an excursion to a local vineyard or hire bikes and set off to explore the area.

The Espace 3 Bedroom is utterly contemporary and offers spacious, modern accommodation for up to eight people (six adults). French windows from the master bedroom and the living area lead out to a large decked terrace, complete with outdoor furniture. 

There are some gorgeous golden sandy beaches at Brétignolles, perfect for resting and relaxing – but if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, head for Grand Défi with its challenging rope bridges and zip wires through the forest. Every year, Les Sables d’Olonne hosts the Salsa del Mar Festival which climaxes with a huge beach party for around 10,000 people.
